About Qutuhal
Launched in 2018, Qutuhal was born out of a bold vision to spark curiosity and inspire future-ready innovation practices among students across the UAE and Global Schools Group network. What began as a one-day challenge to fuel creative thinking soon evolved into a large-scale inter-school competition, nurturing the spirit of inquiry, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving acumen among learners of all ages.
Over the years, Qutuhal has grown into a transformative 9-week innovation journey, each week dedicated to a unique challenge that inspires students to ideate, collaborate, prototype, and present their solutions to global issues. This evolution reflects our unwavering belief that young minds, when empowered, can become the catalysts of real change.
Qutuhal Season 7
Hosted by Global Indian International School, Abu Dhabi, UAE, the first Global Schools Group campus in the Middle East, Qutuhal Season 7 brings to life the spirit of the UAE Vision 2025: Year of Community through the inspiring theme AI for All – Connecting Communities. This edition shines a spotlight on the role of future-ready technologies like Artificial Intelligence in building stronger, more connected communities and solving real-world challenges.
With 16 innovative challenges spanning technology, sustainability, and social impact, Qutuhal 7 invites students from schools across the globe to collaborate, imagine and lead.

The challenges under Qutuhal include a variety of innovation-focused competitions, hosted by GIobal Indian International School (GIIS) campuses in the UAE.
Qutuhal Prime
The year-long programme features six thematic challenges, exclusively for GIIS Abu Dhabi students.
Qutuhal InnovateX
Dubai’s biggest inter-school tech competition, where students explore data science, AI, app creation and showcase their innovations in dynamic finale.
Qutuhal Q7
The 9 weeks of program along with the Grand Finale brings together schools from the UAE and Global Schools Group worldwide for a collaborative and enriching experience.
